What is the best way to strip paint from a model metal car ?

i have some maisto 1:43 scale cars that i would like to strip the paint from but am unsure of what to use ? anyone know what to use ? let me know thanksWhat is the best way to strip paint from a model metal car ?
I've not heard of that brand, but judging by the scale it sounds like they are large enough to carefully remove the wheels, ';glass';, and interior from the metal body.





The metal body could then be soaked in brake-fluid which will strip any paint. Jasco Paint stripper would also work, or mineral spirits or paint thinner.





I'd just mask the model, wipe the model with thinner or alcohol to clean it, apply primer and repaint...

remove ALL plastic parts from the model.....then, ..coat the model with a commercial paint remover from your local hardware store( I use a brand called Strypeez.). Use the 'thick ' type.


The paint on the metal will become wrinkled in about 5 minutes, and it can then be wiped or washed off - your choice. If any specks remain,repeat the procedure, or use a little sandpaper/steel wool.
I use brake fluid to remove paint from HO rail cars. IT doesn't harm the base material. Be sure to clean it off with regular dish detergent and towel dry it, Be thorough or you wind up with splotches that won't take the new paint.
hmmm my first instinct would be to take a very sharp knife and do it that way or if you're not comfterable with the possibility of scratching your model look it up on google
ive been building models for 30 yrs and buying them used for me ive used castrol super clean strips paint in about 2 days
