How much to paint my car?

I have a 97 grand am and its that REALLY dark green. I am planning on repainting it but I was wondering how much to make it red with two racing stripes. Maybe just red, idk. I might do it myself but I want it to look nice and shiny, so how much for shiny paint and how much for someone to do it for me?How much to paint my car?
