How long must you wait after a new paint job before you wash the car or even drive it?

My car went through bonding on its rear quarter panel and will be painted tomorrow on the rear quarter panel. I wanted to know how long I must wait after painting for the paint to be dry enough to drive it around.. and how long till I can wash, and wax. How long must you wait after a new paint job before you wash the car or even drive it?
typically it takes anywhere from 30 to 60 days for the paint to ';fully cure'; so its gonna be awhile. the paint will feel dry to the touch and it doesn't seem ';wet'; but it is under the clear coat/ last layer of paint.

let it set out in the sun for 2 or 3 days before driving it so it has a chance to cure so it can at least defend itself against rock chips/ road debris.

also, wait at least 2 weeks before washing it, dont wax until the 60 day mark.

thats what my paint shop told me when i had my stang repainted, but they stripped it down to bare metal and then primered it, shot a white undercoat, then a silver metallic flake and then did the stripes and finally a clear coat.

your gonna get varied responses on this, but this is a good rule of thumb. How long must you wait after a new paint job before you wash the car or even drive it?
Find out what kind of paint. Ask the body shop painting it. The type of paint and how it is applied makes a big difference. Powder coated paint, which this wouldn't be, is hard as soon as it cools off from the oven. ASK THE PLACE PAINTING IT.
the typical time to wash it would be a week, waxing it another week. you can drive it as soon as you get it. the body shop should have washed it before they deliver it to you. this answer still applies to whoever paints it
usually a good 90 days before waxing and it can be washed as soon as it's dry, usually 1 day.
