How much would it cost to paint a Honda Prelude Type SH?


I want it either black or red...


Nothing fancy just normal colors. I dont want maaco to do it, I want someone who's capable of painting a car and making it look nice to do it.How much would it cost to paint my car?

Could be more, could be less. Depends if there is a lot of body damaged that would need to be repaired. A color change on a vehicle is always going to cost more because the painter has to paint everything ( under hood, door jams, etc.),





Make sure you chose a shop that uses Dupont or PPG automotive paint. The other brands are of low quality and you would be able to see this 2-3 years down the road. Make sure to get at least 4 estimates, as bodyshops vary tremedously in cost.





Also, if there is any body work you could do yourself --that would really help you out with additional labor fees at the paint shop.





If may be time before your financially able to have repainted--get a bottle of SEM RustMort. Rust is like cancer to a vehicle. RustMort costs 25.00 and drys black. But, will ';kill'; the cancer and stop it from spreading.

it all depends on where you live, what color black or red paint, if you want the engine bay painted too, and the body work. look in the yellow pages, then go have someone give you an estimate.
Good solid paint job with a lifetime warranty usually runs between $4-6000 depending on the shop. I painted a 2003 Avalanche and changed the color from white to Corvette yellow and I charged the guy $12000.
if the body is in good shape with little need of repair I would estimate in my area Wisconsin it should cost around $2500. Again there can be a big difference between shops just across town.
