How do I remove dried up masking tape from a car without taking off the paint?

I have masking tape from shipping a vehicle all over my vehicle. It is set in there really good. How do I get it off without messing up the paint? How do I remove dried up masking tape from a car without taking off the paint?
Use cooking oil and pour it on a piece of paper towel and gently rub until all the tape comes off and it won't harm the paint at all.

Just remember to wash off the cooking oil when you are finished. This will also work to remove tape on most every other item you have too.

It's cheap and works better then all those items that cost an arm and half a leg and really don't do the job as well as cooking oil does.

I use it to remove old dried on tape from mirrors, glass on picture frames, lamp bases and anything that isn't wearable like clothing cause it will stain clothing.

Good luck and remember to buy a cheap bottle of cooking oil just to have on hand for such tasks. How do I remove dried up masking tape from a car without taking off the paint?
bug and tar cleaner
WD-40
There are commercial glue removers on the market, they might work.
A high end auto parts store should have an adhesive remover product. If not, try to locate an auto paint store in your area. Last take it to a body shop or large dealer and they will take it off for you.
use a spong and hot water with a very mild soap.soak it keep appling moister to the tape.don't use over amount of soap it'a hell to get off but will loosen up..donot use anything such as nail polish remover.dampen towels and let lay for awhile.it will come off
