If your going to get it painted in 2 weeks don't do any thing to it except wax it if you think its going to rust or something,
The stuff you put on it could make it a bigger job for your paint person.
It will take you 2 weeks to make it look ok even with the right stuff. What is the best way to paint a car at home?
Your best bet is to take it to Earl Shibe or another co. such as Maaco that charges about $250.00. If you are going to do this in a garage, you have the dust element to deal with as well as the drying time. and not to mention a lot of work and your time spent to do a novice paint job. Let thprofessionalsls do it and they heat cure the paint as well. It would still be better for a cheap job than what you would do.
You would need aair compressoror, a paint gun, cheese cloth, sand paper and a n electric hand sander, Polyurethane primer / paint , thinner, paper, tape and be able to apply the paint without runs or orange peel effectCheckek out this link if you are still adamant about doing it your self.
BRUSHES and ROLLERS.
uhhh... drive it until it gets painted?
if you are getting it done in two weeks then why?
