Go with cream, the same shade as the blind.I would like some recommendations on what colour to paint my lounge please?
I would go for magnolia definately and if you feel really daring then go for a feature wall of one colour, say red or brown. That always looks great.
magnolia.
paint most of the walls a relatively neutral colour such as cream or white and then paint one wall a similar shade of red as your throw, don't paint all the walls red as it will look too full on, but one wall with a striking (bold) red paint can look really smart without being garish.
I have just used a color by Behr (Home Depot) called ';Haze'; that is, by far, the best color paint I've ever used! It is not bland, even though it is neutral, and I've used it in several rooms and yet it never looks like the same color! It's really something -- it looks different in different lighting and all the hues it takes on are beautiful! Everyone who has seen it loves it and they don't even register that the same color is in several rooms! Check it out -- you won't be disappointed! I wanted a color that wasn't too crazy or trendy and yet I didn't want it to be boring. This color bridges the gap between 'edgy' and 'boring' perfectly! Glad you asked!
choose a light/pastel color such as creme or very pale pink....lighter colours make the room feel much bigger, welcoming and they also feel as if there is more light coming through
well dur!!!
bright pink gurl
you know it will look great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
eggshell blue
A soft fawn.
I would go for two colours two walls egyptian cotton (which is like magnloia but i feel has a much better tone. And the other side cookie dough. Both these paints are from dulux.
hi, put a rich red on a feature wall to add warmth and a rich warm cream on the others!
then you could add black and gold in furnishings, rugs/cushions!
the gold will also be warm, add lots of texture via rugs and cushions to make the room cosy!
go for all the walls camauge (cream colour by dulux) and then paint the centeral or most obvious wall burgandy, whhich will give it a modern look without it just being all boring white.
Interior decorators say you should always pair red with magnolia not white, as magnolia contains tones of green which calms down the red.
How about Magnolia %26amp; Terracotta?
Always go for subtle tones i.e. wheatgrass/creamy beige or try to imagine what would go with your curtains, carpet etc but steer clear of anything dramatic, remember you might change your mind and need to cover over it
I have the most gorgeous colour of yellow on my walls, it's a really mellow yellow (!!!) and the woodwork (above the windows, skirting etc) is white, and my sofa is a really deep red with a gold design on.. it works great, and my room always feels light and sunny.. I have my 2alcoves near the fireplace painted a rich red (same as sofa..) its really eyecatching and sunny.. i love my lounge, xxx
