I'm painting my room grey with my christmas money. my room is kinda small, but not really small. i'm estimating that i'll need about two gallons of paint, and i'm planning to go buy it tomorrow at lowe's. how would it cost per bucket ?How much would a gallon of flat interior paint be at lowe's?

Don't get a flat finish for the paint. Use either eggshell or satin so you will be able to wipe the walls off. You can't wipe flat paint so if any dirty hands touch the walls it will stay.

You can do it with one gallon if you use the small sponge rollers and edge paint pad for along the ceiling and above baseboards. I place them in a ziplock bag until I'm ready to finish painting. Apply paint to the pad using a brush...less messy.


Make sure you know what color grey you want since the colors will look different under the store lights.

i only buy their mis-tints for $5 a gallon...usually they're not 'mis-tinted' but they spilled some on the sides and got some messy, that's all. I've done my entire house with 'OOPS' paint haha
