How long does paint (in a can) last?

I started painting our bedroom and then ended up not finishing the trim %26amp; ceiling. I have 2 cans of paint that have been sealed and sitting in my bedroom closet for 2 yrs this summer. Is the paint still good? Or do I need to buy new paint? :) Thanks in advance for your answers! :)How long does paint (in a can) last?
If the can is sealed tight and it has never been frozen, it is fine. Just be sure you mix it very well. Next time you store paint put a piece of plastic wrap on top of the paint to further prevent a ';scum'; from forming. Just put a note on top so you remember to take out the plastic before you shake it up. :)How long does paint (in a can) last?
As long as it's sealed tight, years.

Just make sure and mix it REAL good before using....
Properly sealed, paint can last for many years.Enamels last longer then acrylics but you should be ok.
well yea its still good long as its sealed its good girl
the ceiling is the 1st thing that gets painted, then the walls.the paint will be ok ,as normal, give it a good stir.sometimes old paint does smell a bit though, that will go away, but, as I said it will be

ok.
If it hasn't been frozen, it can last for several years, as long as it is sealed tightly. If you intend to keep it for years, I suggest that you periodically turn the can upside down to keep the paint semi-mixed, and cut down on stirring when you plan to reuse it.
Its still good trust me
